Launch Lab Micro Grants

City Launch Lan, together with Santander Universities, are looking to support startups founded by City students and alumni with grants of up to £10k!

The Launch Lab Micro Grants are cash awards available to the City startup community. Each company is able to apply for up to two grants (in separate applications), but will only be awarded one, if successful.

The grants are designed to cover the total or partial cost of a development project that your company is running and applications can be made for grants of up to £10,000.

The award panel also reserve the right to offer lower awards where deemed appropriate.

Eligible projects

Projects can range from hiring interns, marketing campaigns, training courses, industry conferences, tech development, and specific legal or accounting support. Grants are not to be used for ‘business as usual’ activities – there needs to be a definitive end and outcome to the proposed project. This means that grants cannot be used to cover the salaries of permanent staff.

The proposed project must include a clear outline of how the award will support and enable the project.

The expected benefit of the funding will need to be measurable and achievable within 6 months of receipt of any award.

Projects must be considered as whole entities and cannot be a mixture of more than one (ie you can’t use one project application to pay for a conference and also an intern, if the overall purpose for these activities aren’t clearly linked.)

How to apply

To apply, please fill in this application form before the 30th of June 2022. Applications will be evaluated and you might be contacted for more information or to arrange a meeting with the evaluating panel.
