OVERVIEW
A high-energy 2 to 8 days entrepreneurial programme where you'll tackle real-world problems, brainstorm bold solutions, and present your prototype at a real Startup Summit. No better way to test or start being an entrepreneur!
PROGRAMME:
- Day 1: Problem Mapping: Find real-world challenges to tackle, through systems thinking and fieldwork. Identify key issues, interview users and map out the landscape of problems.
- Day 2: Ideation & Plan: Guided by experts and mentors, brainstorm creative solutions and refine your ideas to solve your problem. Explore different approaches and select the most promising solution to bring to life.
- And for those who’d like to take it to the next level:
- Days 3-7: Product/Service Development: You have 5 days to develop a prototype of your product or service. Coworking spaces, makerspaces and other resources/infrastructures will be available to help you execute your product development!
- Day 8: Summit Exhibition: The big day has come! Showcase your project in a live summit exhibition. Present your product, pitch your solution and convince your audience! This day will end with a celebration party, where judges will announce the winners!
WHAT ARE THE SELECTION CRITERIA?
The City Stars is designed for ambitious learners and aspiring/early-stage entrepreneurs who are ready to fully commit to the programme. It is a supportive environment where you can either complete the full 8-days programme or join the initial 2 days. Either way, we seek individuals who demonstrate a strong enthusiasm and commitment to the programme, ensuring a focused and high-impact learning experience.
You can but don’t need to have an idea to participate. If on the second ideation day, you are running out of ideas, we will present you a catalogue of solutions you can get inspiration from and take forward. Because, what’s the point of reinventing the wheel?
With a maximum capacity of 100 participants, priority will be given to those who can commit to the entire duration (8 days).
